Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-05-20

This privacy policy explains how Reddit Assistant handles data across its browser extension, website, and related services.

Data Accessed by the Extension

The extension may access Reddit pages you open to identify posts, comments, subreddits, keywords, and page state, and to provide hiding, filtering, or collapsing features within your browser.

Data Stored Locally

The extension may store settings, filter rules, read-post markers, user identifiers, Pro status, and recent sync timestamps in browser storage.

Data Sent to Servers

Account sync, payment verification, or Pro status checks may require sending an anonymous userId, license key, or necessary authorization state to a backend service.

Core filtering, hiding, and collapsing features run locally in your browser by default. The extension does not send the content of posts you browse to product servers unless a feature explicitly states otherwise and is triggered by you.

Payment Data

Payment processing is handled by the configured payment provider. Reddit Assistant does not store full credit card information. The payment provider may process payment methods, billing metadata, taxes, receipts, refunds, and fraud prevention data under its own terms and privacy policy.

Data Sharing

User data is not sold. Data may be processed by necessary service providers required to run the product, such as hosting, payment, analytics, or authorization verification services.

User Control

Users can disable optional extension behaviors, manage Pro status, and clear extension local data through browser settings.

Permissions

Browser permissions are limited to what the product requires, including Reddit page access, extension storage, side panel UI, and web-to-extension communication. The extension does not collect Reddit account passwords, read non-Reddit website content, or request browser permissions unrelated to product functionality.
